Wellesley OKs increase in sewage units

A proposed residential development in Wellesley will receive 10 additional units of treatment capacity – once they become available, that is – councillors decided this week.

Last September, the township approved the allocation of 22 hookups to the Wellesley wastewater treatment facility to accommodate a proposed residential development on the remaining undeveloped lands of Wm. J. Gies Construction Ltd. At that time a residential development in the area of Greenwood Hill Road and Meadows Drive comprising 22 semi-detached homes was anticipated.  The development now being considered will incorporate a number of townhouses, which will increase the number of units to 32.
