As this issue of The Observer goes to press, the province is firmly entrenched in Ontario Agriculture Week, the seven days set aside to celebrate and recognize the achievements of Ontario farmers.

There’s no shortage of accolades. For example, Farm and Food Care describes Ontario as a province “overflowing with fresh, locally grown, high-quality food and products.” It calls Ontario Agriculture Week “an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the bounty of food produced by Ontario farmers, the dedicated people who work throughout our agriculture and food industry, and the vibrant rural communities supported by agriculture.”
