The Bloomingdale Women’s Institute met on Thursday, 11th May at 1:30 p.m. in the Bloomingdale United Church hall.  The meeting always opens with the Women’s Institute Ode and the Mary Stewart Collect.

A reminder was made of the District Area meeting to be held on Wednesday, May 24th at 12 noon with a potluck lunch at the Bloomingdale United Church.

The ladies were asked for this meeting to bring plants for a plant exchange.  They could be slips of indoor house plants or outdoor plants.

Brenda Hallman handed out sheets on methods of conditioning plants and the care of fresh flowers and their conditioning.  Members talked on the plants they had brought and the care and maintenance.  There was good dialogue among the group about the different plants and weeds and shared their tips how they had looked after them or tried to get rid of them.

The next meeting will be a potluck lunch hosted by Carol Cresssman on Thursday June 8th
