“Would you still love me if I was a worm?”
This is one of the questions posed in a new script called Love and Dirt, one of eight new plays taking the stage during Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre’s New Works Festival from August 14 to 23. Each has grown collaboratively from an artistic collective of local scribes, working in a variety of genres, aiming to bring their visions to life and share exciting new voices with the community.
The festival will consist of eight new plays from five different amateur playwrights, with nine directors and 35 actors. This is the second iteration of the showcase, after a successful first go-around in 2024. And it’s even more ambitious than last time.
