Pork is one of the best bargains in the grocery store. But would you still eat pork if its genes were edited to keep it healthy?

If you answered yes, you’re in the vast majority, which shows how far we’ve come in accepting some level of risk in our food system.

Last fall, more than 5,000 pork consumers from eight countries, including 600 from Canada, across genders and age (from 18 to 70), were asked about gene editing by a pollster representing a global swine genetics company.
