Electric vehicles (EVs) have been around long enough now for most drivers to have opinions about them. While shoppers tend to acknowledge the environmental benefits and lower operating costs of EVs compared with gas-powered vehicles, they also have concerns that make them hesitant: the upfront price, battery range and performance in winter, charging times and the state of public charging infrastructure.

With any emerging technology, rapid change is the norm, so it is worth checking periodically to see what progress the industry has made in addressing these matters.
