I will be the first to concede that my hearing isn’t as good as it once was. Despite this, I am reasonably certain I heard a passing ice angler whisper a complimentary remark about the quality of the holes I was fishing through.
I believe his exact words were, “Would you get a load of that ice hole!”
I won’t lie. Upon hearing those words, my chest did swell up with pride.
