The weekend was kind to the Elmira Sugar Kings, who were outscored 10-1 in a home-and-home series against the St. Thomas Stars.
Elmira’s lone goal came off the stick of Sam Ratcliffe in Friday night’s 5-1 loss in St. Thomas. On Sunday at the WMC, the visitors skated to a 5-0 win.
“Two losses this weekend was disappointing. We ran into a hot goaltender, and maybe the guys are gripping their sticks a little tightly,” said head coach Cory McRae of the weekend’s results.
