The Elmira Sugar Kings rallied twice to come back in last Saturday’s game against Strathroy, but ended up falling just short, settling for a point in a 6-5 overtime loss.
The Kings (24-4-2) lost a little ground in the GOHL’s Western Conference, trailing the first-place Chatham Maroons (25-6-1-2) by three points, but with four games in hand.
Given the team’s position in the standings, those trailing the Kings are always gunning for them, said head coach Cory McRae.
