While most of the province sleeps, one local resident stays up a bit later to identify a local backyard critter often overlooked: moths.
What started as a hobby for Alan Macnaughton has become a larger effort to identify as many moths as possible in the area. He has already uncovered 800 moth species on a single property in St. Agatha called SpruceHaven. Through persistent tracking and a keen eye, he even found three species never before recorded in Ontario.
