It’s a symbol, not a school.

In the official plan released by the Township of Woolwich, planners earmarked potential places for new schools within the growing community of Breslau – leading to speculation and concern from the school boards.

In a letter dated September 26, a land use planning firm called GSP Group that represents both the Waterloo Region District School Board and its Catholic counterpart expressed their dissatisfaction with the currently articulated plans.

“The boards remain concerned that the number, distribution and location of several mapped school sites, including the high school site, have not been established through sufficient consultation with the boards,” vice president of planning Kirsten Barisdale wrote.
