The mayor’s seat in Wellesley Township will be a contest, as businessman Chris Martin is now challenging incumbent Joe Nowak.
The two are the only declared candidates thus far in the run-up to the October 26 municipal elections.
Martin, who chaired the fundraising effort for the township’s new recreational complex in Wellesley, said he’s running to bring a fresh perspective to leadership.
