A Woolwich resident is sounding the alarm about dangerous speeding over the Grand River bridge at Line 86, particularly since the nearby West Montrose covered bridge has been closed to traffic. Tony Dowling has reached out to the Region of Waterloo to draw attention to the situation, which offers no easy fix.
“I’m now crossing the river on Line 86 over a dozen times a week. In the past month of so, I’ve witnessed two near-misses involving buggies and motorized vehicles. Theoretically vehicles should not be passing buggies on solid lines, but we all know that’s not a reality,” Dowling told The Observer.
