To the Editor,
Let me see if I have this straight. Breslau residents are being asked to pay for a water and sewer line that they’ll never use because the costs of hooking up to that line are prohibitive?
The solution to this injustice is not complicated: identify the beneficiaries of the water and sewer line (presumably new developments down the road) and have them pay.
It is difficult to think of a logical or moral principle that would justify requiring the residents in question to subsidize the beneficiaries, whoever they may be.
