Trail cameras revisited

The other day, I bought a new trail camera for this hunting season. A trail camera is a tool that modern hunters use to determine what animal lingered or slept by their stand when they were not there.

In the old days, every hunter just assumed that every animal in the woods did this. And, based on what I have seen on my trail cameras, we were not that far off.

My issue with trail cameras is not that they tell us things we already know. It is that they record things that most of us probably would rather not have recorded. For instance, you can suck in your belly and show off your best side when you are prepared to pose for someone using their phone or camera. But those set-up photos are not the ones you see when you are looking at your trail camera photos.
