St. Jacobs’ Doug McGee was feted for his 20 years of service with the First Elmira Scouts earlier this year.

He first got involved as a leader with Elmira when his son, Cameron, joined at the age of 5.

But before then, he started out as a Cub in London until he moved to Kitchener to join that local troop, where he remembers learning a lot from his childhood Scouting adventure, he said, noting his son was the primary reason he returned to Scouting.
