Make that two current Woolwich councillors interested in taking the mayor’s seat at the table.
Ward 1 Coun. Evan Burgess this week announced his candidacy for the job, joining Ward 2 Coun. Eric Schwindt in the race. The current mayor, Sandy Shantz, said she would not seek re-election after 12 years in the role.
Municipal voters go to the polls October 26.
