One or two members for each District of the Guelph Area  Women’s Institute gathered at Bloomingdale United Church on Monday November 5th at 10 a.m. for a workshop.  This workshop had the ladies cutting and sewing mesh produce bags.  These ladies will then go back to their individual District Institutes and make the bags to sell.  This is an Area / District Women’s Institute project to help eliminate  the use of plastic for produce bags in the grocery stores.  The bags will be sold for 3 bags for $5.   For more information please contact Glenna Smith at dgsmith@sympatico.ca or Eleanor Berry at eljohn@sentex.net
