St. Boniface School held their annual Pasta Dinner and Silent Auction fundraiser on Saturday, November 3rd at the Breslau Community Centre.  Admission was adults $10 , children $5 and youngsters under 3 free.  The doors opened at 4:30 p.m. with the pasta meal being served at 5 p.m.  The event included games – tic tac toe, t-ball, ball toss, hockey, and name game.  There were door prizes and a silent auction as well as this year – magician Nick Wiens who had the young and not so young enthralled.

One of the favourites in the silent auction is the themed classroom gift baskets.  Each classroom picks a theme and the students are asked to bring items for that theme basket.  It also get the students involved in the preparing and putting together these baskets.

This is the only fundraiser for the entire school year with all the proceeds of this event going directly to the students.  Some of the items will be for classroom materials, field trips, special guest speakers, library books, gifts for First Reconciliation, First Communion,  Confirmation and graduation are but a few of the examples that the funds are used to enrich the students’ lives.

Also a huge thank you George & Tara Kanellis  and also to all the volunteers who helped to set up and cleanup afterwards. It is always so appreciated.
