Carl “Chaz” Bauer made a peaceful transition to his next adventure on April 10th, 2026 at the age of 62. He was the youngest of 8 siblings: Bruce Bauer (Deborah Reid), Dianne Dammeier (Dave), Darlene Hartman (Paul), Donna McGaghey (Paul), Rosemary Deitch (Jim), Pat Collins (Dan), and Jake Bauer (Nancy). He will be missed by his step-daughter Xandine Arnott and many nieces and nephews. He was adored by his fur babies Diller (aka Sparklefarts), who he is now reunited with, and Bella, who will forever be waiting for him to throw the ball. Growing up in Elmira with such a big family in the 60’s was about as perfect as it gets. Through all the years, Chaz had a love for music and he loved his guitars. He was lucky enough to have found his happy place up in Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island. Through his life, he traveled and moved around and made many friends - many of whom will miss his curious nature and sense of humour. When his time came, he was brought home to Kitchener to spend precious moments with family and friends. Special thanks to all the wonderful nurses and Dr. Kim at WRHN @ Chicopee (formerly Freeport Hospital) for the wonderful care he received in the “Party Room”. RIP little brother.
