Barry Butterfield, annoyed that he’s already living in a retirement home at 67, finds it worth it to be near his daughter, Rosie, who works at the home. There, he meets Jonas Ainsworth, a man very much the opposite. Nonetheless, the two become friends.

David Nairn, who has a history with the comedy, playing Barry countless times, is directing Norm Foster’s Jonas and Barry in the Home for the first time.

The story’s humour and poignant moments is now on display in the Drayton Entertainment production later this month at the Hildebrand Schoolhouse Theatre in St. Jacobs.
