The Wellesley Applejacks extended their winning streak to five with a gritty shootout victory over New Hamburg on October 16 and a 6-4 decision versus Norwich on Sunday.
Friday’s nail-biting 4-3 Battle of Nafziger Road classic on the road wasn’t settled until shootout hero Ethan Stover scored on the sixth attempt, his first goal of the match against the Firebirds. Facing the Norwich Merchants for the second time this season, the Jacks pulled away in another classic tit-for-tat battle.
