The Elmira Junior Sugar Kings U18A team won the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) title earlier this month, as well as being crowned the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) champions before that.
“Winning the OHF is such a special moment,” said head coach Nathan Schaap, as the Jr. Kings battled against South Oxford Storm, winning 3-2, to take that title on April 19.
Before that resolution, they faced the same team in the OMHA finals on April 5, winning 5-2. That win meant the coaches would also dye their hair blond to match the rest of the players.
