The nomination period opens Friday for those looking to run in this fall’s municipal elections.
In preparation of that, the Region of Waterloo and the local municipalities held a candidate-engagement event April 23 at the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum to explain how the election process works.
Woolwich Township clerk Jeff Smith said they came there with packages to answer any questions prospective candidates may have, as well as to pick up the materials they need to run for office.
