Regional staff are putting the finishing touches on a massive, 25-year roadmap designed to overhaul how local communities manage, reduce, and divert waste over the next quarter-century.
The initiative, known as the long-term waste management strategy, has officially wrapped up its extensive public consultation phases. Driven by rapid population growth and shifting provincial regulations, the strategy aims to future-proof regional infrastructure.
The comprehensive planning process has been underway for nearly two years to ensure no stone was left unturned.
