A slightly scaled-back iteration of a St. Jacobs residential development gained no more traction with neighbours than did the version rolled out a year earlier.

A subdivision at 51 and 55 Hawkesville Rd. would see the maximum number of units drop to 124 from the 151 proposed last year, Woolwich councillors heard at a public meeting Tuesday night.

Rather than a condominium format, the development would be a standard subdivision, with the applicant dropping plans for a pumping station and converting private roadways into public infrastructure.
