This year when St. Boniface School did the Terry Fox Walk they did it around the school yard. The school yard consists of 10 acres and because of the wind and rain on Thursday, September 29th the staff felt this would be best. Each class went out when it was convenient for them that day instead of all going out as a whole school. This seemed to work perfectly. In other years the students had walked in the Maryhill Heritage Park.

The students were asked previously to bring in a loonie or toonie and this year each classroom received a coin jar and asked to bring in any loose change. All the money raised goes directly to the Terry Fox Foundation to help in cancer research.

Students walked the perimeter of the school yard with the primary classes walking for at least half an hour and the junior and intermediate classes encouraged to walk for at least one hour.
