Memoriam Eorum Retinebimus.
That’s the Latin phrase emblazoned on the Royal Canadian Legion crest, which is featured on a new commemorative stamp being rolled out to honour the 100th anniversary of its founding. Initially adopted following the First World War, the phrase articulates the organization’s commitment to honour fallen war veterans.
Translated, it means “We will remember them.”
