During the Christmas season, there are many get-togethers, some planned ahead and others spontaneous, that will require food. This is a great time to try some new party food recipes lest we get bored with the old. Of course, sometimes traditional is a necessity … such as hot chocolate and homemade cinnamon buns after caroling or skating.
Hot and cold dips are very popular these days. You can dip crackers, raw vegetables, tortilla chips, fresh bread cubes or pretzels. The dip recipe I’m sharing today called Broccoli Bacon Dip even looks festive in red and green. If you want to make it lower fat, use light miracle whip and low-fat sour cream. This recipe can be made ahead and refrigerated, then heated at serving time. If you are making this for a party, you better double the recipe and bake it longer until heated through.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year.
