If you haven’t given much thought to the municipal election, now’s the time – Monday is the big day. Not sure who to vote for? Hopefully recent coverage in The Observer helps you make that decision. Assuming, of course, that you’re one of the relatively few citizens who’ll bother to show up at a polling station.
Voter apathy aside, it is harder to get interested in a municipal election than, say, a federal campaign. Without the high-profile candidates, multimedia barrage and round-the-clock coverage, it’s much easier to ignore the hype. Or, rather, the lack thereof.
