The heart-shaped fruit with a bright red exterior was the centre of attention last week as Bloomingdale’s strawberry social was revived.
The once “treasured” event was back in session June 24.
“It’s something that we as a community absolutely treasure; it’s a chance for neighbours to get together with neighbours,” said one of the organizers, Trish Stewart.
Debbie Smith, Doug Uhrig and Steven Smith were seen enjoying a tasty strawberry shortcake with ice cream, as Bloomingdale residents brought back the strawberry social after six years.
