Canadian patience will be tested over the next two months, and maybe even over the next two years, as the U.S. adjusts to its new political realities.
Farmers and consumers on both sides of the Canada-U.S. border are hoping that Tuesday’s pummeling of President Donald Trump and his Make American Great Again (MAGA) movement will catalyze a turnaround of the economy and begin to mend the global harm Trump’s done.
In time, it should.
The question is, how long will change take?
