When Janice Neilson was first approached by the Township of Woolwich to ask if she would let her name stand for the 2026 Senior of the Year Award, she thought of her late aunt Molly Reid, who had received the very same award years ago.
“I thought to honour her I was going to say yes, and I have kept that thought about her as we’ve gone through the process. I was proud to be nominated and then to receive it,” Nielson told The Observer.
