Passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 1, 2026 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of Salome (Martin) Martin. Father of Anna (Allen) Gingrich of Drayton, James (Fern) Martin, Paul (Martha) Martin both of Listowel, Cleason (Louella) Martin of Wallenstein, and Naomi (Lloyd) Horst of Elmira. He will be missed by 43 grandchildren and 84 great-grandchildren. Survived by siblings Laurene (Clarence, 2023) Martin, Louida (Mahlon) Martin, Ibra (Lena) Martin, and sister-in-law Minerva Martin. Predeceased by his parents Tobias and Lydia (Gingrich) Martin, siblings Vera Martin, Milton (Annie) Martin, Nora Martin, Urias Martin, Ida Martin, Nelson Martin, and son-in-law Edward Martin. Visitation took place on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 from 2-5 p.m. at the home of Cleason and Louella Martin, 3880 Posey Line, Wallenstein. A family service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 9 a.m., then to Peel Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service.
