Waterloo Regional Police are reminding residents to secure valuables and remove personal information from their vehicles following reports of thefts from vehicles around the region.
Police received multiple reports August 13 of vehicles being entered in heavily populated employee parking lots.
Investigators have learned that wallets and other valuables were targeted during these incidents. In addition to the immediate loss of property, stolen identification and financial cards can be used to facilitate further fraud and identity-related offences.
