Kitchener-Conestoga MPP Mike Harris criticized the Region of Waterloo for halting vital homebuilding, as he vowed provincial support to expand the water supply amid shortage fears.
“These infrastructure challenges are not a reason for critical infrastructure builds or housing projects to stall,” he said, noting that construction should “continue without unnecessary delay.”
The challenges referred to by Harris, who also serves as the Minister of Natural Resources, are the region’s $81-million plans to expand the water supply.
