Taking a holistic approach to healthcare earned Elmira’s Courtney Bauman the 2025 Social Prescribing Connector Award.

In her role at the Woolwich Community Health Centre, Bauman refers patients to non-medical services – the likes of exercise classes, art groups or volunteer opportunities – that help contribute to physical and mental wellbeing.

“It’s a huge honour to have been selected as one of the recipients,” she said of the award from the Canadian Institute for Social Prescribing.

The award recognizes her work at WCHC. Andrea Eymann
