So begins the book Winterberries and Apple Blossoms, the latest by Elmira-native Nan Forler. Released earlier this year by Tundra Books, it is a unique coming-of-age look at a year in the life of a young Mennonite girl. The story is a combination of poetry and recipes divided by month, and it is ill
