Albrecht, Muriel

Surrounded by her family, Muriel peacefully passed from her earthly home into the eternal presence of Jesus her Lord and Saviour on Monday, August 4, 2025 at WRHN-Chicopee at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife and best friend of the late W. Dan (December 3, 2020). Loving mother of Kevan and Trudy Albrecht, Lois and Scott Williams, and Brent and Chris Albrecht. Proud grandmother of Matthew; Mitchell (Emily), Matthew (Abby); Sarah (Chris), Scott (Brittany), and Emily (Adam). Doting Gigi of Lily, Sam, Lucy, Josie, Ivy, Jack, and Levi. Sister and sister-in-law of Arbutus Sider, Miriam (Roger) Cober, Lucille Sider, Tennyson (Marsha) Sider, Delores Winger, Ron (Sharon) Albrecht, Harold (Darlene) Albrecht, and Dale (Judy) Albrecht. Muriel is fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents James and Ida (Cline) Sider, sister Lillian Ott, brother Ronald Sider, brothers-in-law Ray Albrecht, Bruce Winger and Merv Potteiger, and sister-in-law Betty Albrecht. Muriel was a kind and encouraging woman of deep faith, whose quiet strength inspired those around her. A perfectionist in both her bookkeeping and her teaching, she approached every task with care, grace, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 2-5 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, and on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 2 p.m., at Rosebank BIC Church, 1434 Huron Rd., Petersburg. The funeral service will be livestreamed and may be accessed on Muriel’s tribute page of the funeral home website. Interment in Rosebank Cemetery, with a reception to follow in the church hall. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Woolwich Community Services Food Bank, or Community Care Concepts would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
