Peacefully at Matthew’s House Hospice on Sunday, August 31st, 2025 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Gail Hall and the late Mary Anne Ruth Bauman (2018). Loving father of Tim and his wife Wendy and Eleanor Jester and her husband Alan. Cherished grandfather of Kyle, Luke, Ben, Morgan, Micah, Annie and Russell; great-grandfather to Mary Anne and Charlotte. Dear brother to Shirley Anne Sutherland. Vernon will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service will be held at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre 21 First St. Orangeville, Ontario on Sunday, September 7th, 2025 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm. Reception and fellowship to follow. Memorial donations to Compass Community Church would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Vernon in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
