Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Hospice Peterborough at the age of 94 years. Wife of the late Richard Butcher (2000) and Harvey Martin (2021). Loving mother of Doug of Elmira, Linda and Tim Gingrich of Peterborough, and Laurie and Kevin Martin of Blind River. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jason (Lou) Amanda, Josh, and Dan, and three great-grandchildren. Beloved sister of Carol Frederick of Wasaga Beach and Sharon Desmarais of Belwood. Predeceased by her parents Aaron and Ada Martin, son Gary (1974), sister Erma (1973), brothers Clayton (2015), Henry (1989), and Paul (2000). Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral home visitation. A public graveside service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Floradale Mennonite Cemetery, 22 Florapine Rd, Floradale. All were welcomed to a luncheon following the graveside service at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Peterborough would be appreciated by the family, and may be made through the funeral home.
