The Waterloo Ringette Association is holding a free Come Try Ringette event on Sunday.
Kids between the ages of 4 and 12 years old will get to strap on their skates and grab a stick to try the fastest game on ice.
Held twice a year, the event aims to recruit and introduce kids to the sport, which was invented by Sam Jacks in 1963 because girls couldn’t play hockey at the time.
