A 26-year-old Elmira man faces a list of charges following the seizure of more than $600,000 worth of illegal narcotics.
George Whitmore was arrested September 3 by Wellington County OPP as a result of a drug-trafficking investigation dating back to March involving Wellington County OPP alongside OPP in Huron/Perth, Haldimand/Norfolk, Grey Bruce and Lambton counties. Officers executed two search warrants in Waterloo Region.
As a result of the investigation, the Elmira man was placed under arrest without incident, and police seized substances with an estimated potential street value of $603,048.70, alongside a large amount of Canadian currency and other various offence-related property.
