Locations not typically accessible to the public will change that policy for one day later this month.

Doors Open Waterloo Region is the impetus, with the tradition continuing September 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“It’s an opportunity for them to get out and explore building which they may not necessarily had access to on any other given day. It’s a great behind-the-scenes opportunity, and it’s a way to learn about the place you live and interact with the people who live here,” said Kelly Spencer, the coordinator of Doors Open Waterloo Region.

In Woolwich and Wellesley townships, there will be two locations open for attendees to check out.
