A report of a barn fire saw firefighters from three Woolwich stations – Conestogo, Maryhill and St. Jacobs – dispatched to a poultry farm near Winterbourne Wednesday afternoon about 4:15 p.m. On arrival, crews found an incinerator at the rear of the property engulfed in flames, but the fire was not a threat to any of the structures and was quickly extinguished. Woolwich fire officials believe the unit may have been overfilled. The incinerator was undamaged and remains in service.
