The work to replace the old Scheifele Bridge on Northfield Drive over the Conestogo River is just a little behind schedule, says the project manager.
Since the work mobilized last June, the crews have built the access roads, constructed a cofferdam extending into the river, and started piling for the new piers and abutments.
“We’re a little bit behind, just with the piling, just the material we’re driving through has been a bit challenging, but not too far behind,” said Ken Brisbois, heading the project for the Region of Waterloo.
