The Wellesley Applejacks’ second-round playoff series was left on a knife edge after the team lost three games in a row against the Tavistock Braves.

The Jacks lost Tuesday’s encounter 4-2 on the road, setting up a must-win home-ice showdown in the PJHL South Doherty division semi-final the following night.

It came after two earlier defeats, losing 9-6 in Friday’s opener and 3-1 on Saturday.
