The Elmira Sugar Kings fell another point back of the conference-leading Chatham Maroons, losing last weekend’s head-to-head battle before bouncing back to defeat Listowel.

The Kings (26-6-2) sit three points back of Chatham (26-7-2-3) in the GOHL’s Western Conference, but with four games in hand. They’re tied in points with the St. Marys Lincolns, who have an identical record.

Saturday night at the WMC, the visiting Maroons never trailed in the battle for top spot, though the Kings did try to keep things interesting in eventually falling 5-3.
