Heidelberg author Melanie Vandonk’s first book last year earned third place in an independent book contest. Now, she’s released the second book in the series.
Her debut, The Shadow of Four, received bronze in the Best First Book-Young Adult/Juvenile section of the Independent Publisher Book Award. The Anguish of the Omni continues the story.
“I feel so grateful and honoured,” Vandonk said, revealing it was something she entered on a whim after being encouraged by her mom.
