The Wellesley Applejacks endured a frustrating weekend on the road, with two defeats costing the side top spot in the division standings.
The Jacks fell 8-6 to the New Hamburg Firebirds on Friday after nearly staging a comeback in a feisty, goal-laden game that truly lived up to its “Battle of Nafziger Road” billing.
The following day, Wellesley (11-5-0) suffered a 3-2 defeat to the bottom-placed Dorchester Dolphins.
